Fast-switching, low-weight and low-power

Used as an automotive rear view mirror, an electrowetting display darkens within a few milliseconds. That is much faster than the three seconds taken by conventional dimming mirrors that are now fitted to many cars. The currents involved are very small, so the mirror draws much lower power than conventional dimming mirror devices. Due to its unique sandwich structure, Miortech's mirrors can be made with very thin glass while keeping their mechanical strenght.
